What is the Printing app?
NOWAITN Printing is the shared printing backbone for every app on the NOWAITN platform. Instead of each app — Queue, Reservations, HCM, and so on — shipping its own printer driver, credentials, and job queue, every app sends its jobs to a single Printing service that handles rendering, delivery, retries, and history in one place.
Why it exists
- One setup, many apps. Register a printer once and any licensed NOWAITN app can print to it.
- Shared templates. Chit, receipt, and label layouts live in one place and stay consistent across apps.
- Job visibility. Every print — from any app — lands in a single job history with status, errors, and reprint.
- Flexible hardware. The same job pipeline works against thermal receipt printers, label printers, and standard office printers.
Licensing
Printing is activated per organization from Hub > Settings > Licenses at a flat $25/month. It is an org-wide license rather than per-seat — no separate seat purchase is required for each user who needs to print. Billing administrators (org role owner or admin) can activate or deactivate the license at any time.
